Radical Heritage
This hybrid summer school was a collaboration with five international universities: BNCA (India), University of Pernambuco (Brazil), The University of Tokyo (Japan), University of Belgrade (Serbia) and Final International University (Cyprus). The summer school explored the novel concept of urban fallows as fertile grounds for rethinking value, heritage, and agency in the city.
Rather than conceiving disused buildings as vacant voids awaiting reintegration into cycles of capital accumulation, this summer school reframes them as latent commons, as spatial and cultural reservoirs imbued with social memory, ecological potential, and the capacity to host alternative, speculative urban futures.
